In this powerful episode of Altered Attitudes, the team takes a closer look at the often-misunderstood world of addiction referral services. With increasing criticism surrounding how individuals are directed toward treatment, this conversation breaks down the misconceptions and explores the true purpose and value of referrals in the recovery journey. Are these services really causing harm—or are they helping people find life-saving support and signposting?
The episode also highlights how Rehabs UK is working on the front lines to not only guide individuals into addiction treatment but also to support their families every step of the way. From compassionate advice to structured intervention and aftercare, Rehabs UK is committed to ensuring that no one faces addiction alone and support fees via referrals is the only way this valuable service can exist. This is a must-listen for anyone seeking clarity on how the recovery system really works—and why family support is at its heart.
