About Jakana Rita
Jakana is a qualified and registered BACP therapist who has worked in the addiction treatment field since 2014. Before setting up her own private practice, she served as a Lead Therapist at a residential rehabilitation centre. Drawing on her own lived experience of addiction and ADHD and a BSC Degree in Psychology, she brings both expertise and compassionate insight to her work. Jakana is the group facilitator for Rehabs UK’s weekly online Family Talk and Recovery Support Group, where she provides ongoing education and guidance around trauma, co-dependency and recovery. Alongside her group work, she also delivers programmes such as Exploring Addiction, counselling, couples therapy and EMDR Trauma therapy. Jakana is an invaluable partner to Rehabs UK and supports clients and their families to navigate recovery and its challenges, enabling them to build healthier relationships.
